Workforce Development
Currently, WSGC is executing an array of activities designed to increase the overall pool, quality and diversity of the science, math, engineering, and technology (STEM) workforce in Wyoming. The funding directed to this program through NASA allows us to build Wyoming’s STEM workforce by investing resources in the following programs:
- Enhance important pre-college STEM recruitment programs, such as Women in Science and UW Astronomy Camp.
- Bolster the community college feeder system via the Community College STEM Scholarship Program and Community College Transfer Scholarships.
- Offer specialized programs and events relating to new technologies such as remote sensing.
- Increase opportunities for underserved and underrepresented minority populations.
- Enhance connection to NASA through increased research/work experiences.
