Wyoming Space Grant Speakers Series
WSGC can provide small grants in support of science, technology, engineering, and math presentations at any Wyoming college. The grants (typically a few-several hundred dollars) can be used for travel, honorarium, or other expenses related with bringing a speaker to any Wyoming college. See above website for more information.
Wyoming Space Grant Minority Student Organization Support
WSGC can provide small grants in support of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities of minority student organizations at Wyoming colleges. The grants (typically several hundred dollars) can be used to bring speakers to club functions, travel to STEM conferences by organization members, support of STEM outreach and education activities of the club, etc. See above website for more information.
Wyoming Space Grant Fellowships, Scholarships, and Grants
Undergraduate Fellowships
Each year the Wyoming Space Grant Consortium awards fellowships to undergraduate students attending the University of Wyoming or one of Wyoming's community colleges to provide the student with the opportunity to do "real" research. The program is not restricted to science or engineering majors - undergraduates who are interested in space science and engineering careers gain valuable experience participating in research projects, while non-science majors broaden their educations with a research experience. The principle objective of the program is to provide students with a positive rewarding research experience. Research projects can be conducted during the academic year or during the summer (or both).

Graduate Fellowships
The Wyoming Space Grant Consortium, as part of the national Space Grant Program, is offering Graduate Fellowships. These fellowships are awarded to students performing independent research as part of an M.S. or Ph.D. program who submit outstanding research proposals along the lines of National Space Grant Goals and Objectives, and related to NASA's mission goals.

Faculty Education Enhancement and Research Initiation Grants
The National Space Grant has two main goals concerning faculty in higher education: 1) stress the development of interdisciplinary courses and curriculum, including introductory courses designed for undergraduate students not majoring in scientific or technological disciplines; 2) provide resources to initiate research opportunities in line with the NASA Strategic Enterprises, especially among faculty who have not yet become established researchers. In line with these national objectives, the Wyoming Space Grant awards Faculty Grants for either course or curriculum development (Education Enhancement Grant), or new space science research (Research Initiation Grant).

Community College Transfer Scholarships
The program awards scholarship funds of up to $5,000 to be applied to school expenses for the 2008-2009 academic year to students transferring to the University of Wyoming from one of the Wyoming community colleges. Recipients will be selected based on their academic record, personal essays, teacher/counselor recommendations and academic and long-term goals. Women and minority students are encouraged to apply.
ESMD Engineering Senior Design Projects
NASA's Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) is holding a competition through Space Grant to support engineering senior design projects that support the ESMD's missions. More information about this competition and application process will be available early Fall semester 2006 and will be posted to the webpage linked above.
ESMD National Design Competition Support
NASA's Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD) is holding a competition through Space Grant to support participation in national design competitions that support the ESMD's missions. More information about this competition and application process will be available early Fall semester 2006 and will be posted to the webpage linked above.
NASA Student Opportunities Podcasts
NASA has a new education podcast series for high school and college students interested in participating in NASA learning opportunities. NASA Student Opportunities is a weekly audio podcast that features interviews with students who have received NASA internships, fellowships or scholarships. Students share their experiences and offer suggestions for students who are interested in pursuing NASA learning opportunities. The podcasts also provide information about upcoming learning opportunities and application deadlines.
